Wow, I'm going through my old stuff so my parents can have a yardsale, and I just found three sheets of lined paper with a Applesoft TI-BASIC program written on them. It appears to be a text-based RPG in which the player battles a goblin, skeleton, ogre, and sax player.

Now that's nerdy indeed.

...why a sax player?

Some sort of low brass / sax rivalry in the band, I think.

When I was toying around with a text adventure authoring package for the PC sometime in the late 90s, the premise of the game I was writing was that theater techs and the actors were in fact different ethnicities or cultures, and there had been some kind of big war between them and current practice at the time of you, the player, was that the game puzzles were a combination rite of passage / testing ordeal to prove you had pure Techie blood. (Nnnnnerd.) I probably would have put in band stuff eventually because half the techs were also in the band.

Where do keyboardists fall into that equation, out of curiosity?
