I'm just turning on my computer this morning to double-check that I don't need to pack up my car and head for the hills, and then I'll give some money to disaster relief.

Heard about the earthquake before I went to bed, then Mom called at 7:30AM to make sure I didn't have plans to go to the coast for the day.

Wow, it'd have to be quite a tsunami to get all the way up the delta to where you are! (unless you'd relocated to Point Reyes and I didn't notice? ^_-)

I was looking last night at some CA Dept of Conservation maps of areas that are prone to inundation in the event of a tsunami, and was a little surprised at how small they really were in most cases. Except don't live in Alameda County.

Heh, yes, and if it were a tsunami of such epic apocalyptic proportions, I-80 would probably be a parking lot anyway.
