I'm starting to get past the culture shock I thought I wasn't going to experience when I returned to college. I'm comfy in my home, despite the fact that there's too much humidity produced by the air conditioning and my sheets seem like they were made out of rain coats. "I realized something. An attitude is contagious. If you're around a group of cheery people (and you're not excluding yourself from said group,) It's difficult to resist becoming lighter at heart yourself. The same can be said about the opposite mentality. Perhaps this is why gangs are so effectively run; the immersion factor. I also note that this effect is only temporary. Once you step out of the group, all your problems, ailments and stress related events come crashing down upon you. In a way, being with friends is a way of taking a short vacation from your previous state of mind."

Bingo.....It's taken me awhile also, but this too has occurred to me, most recently toward the end of last semester (by which time it was too late for me to do anything because of my homework); which is why i'm trying to do as much out of my room as possible with you and Amber and other people from the group....even if it is only eating at Taos with others. ^_^
