1. To darken or render indistinct or dim.
2. To make obscure or difficult to understand or make sense of.
3. To confuse or bewilder.

Is that not the greatest? Now, you can yell "STOP OBFUSCATING THINGS!" at the appropriate time.

Or at a not appropriate time, since I doubt many people know the word.

Ahhh, I do remember the cuntscab dinner. That greatly amused me, and remains among my favorite memories, when I happen to remember it.
