Am I the only one who feels like life hasn't truly started yet, or am I romanticizing the future too much?

It's really odd that we're so young but have worries like the elderly. Haha.

I love your icon so much, by the way. <3

I used to feel that way. Now it's more like... "I'm 26 and EVERYBODY in my graduating high school class has done more than me. I'm lame."

Which is why I try not to leave myself with my thoughts very often. Diiiiiiistractions!

Haha, well, I never really compare myself to anyone. I think it's just setting yourself up for self-depracation and the occasional ego-stroke, but we all know which overrides which for most people.

Distractions are good.

Life doesn't start till you retire. Jeez.

AMEN. Can't wait for my fixed income and no obligation to work.

Gambling it all away.

I tend to think that only because I'm stuck where I am right now. Stuck in high school, just waiting to be able to get out. Maybe we all have those kinds of thoughts until some point?

This is my sentiment exactly. Perhaps we all do, sometimes it feels like the world goes on while you're just straddling along and not really feeling the substance of the day. Being "stuck" is what I've always heard in my mind, and perhaps it's lasting longer than I thought. Maybe I'm just striving for some independence? Dorming away is what I suspect would fulfill that and more.

Hopefully we both get out of these ruts as soon as we can.

Hopefully so. And that's probably what we both want, a bit more independence to figure out what we want to do and to be able to do those things freely. For now, we just need to sit back and enjoy the security we have and wait for the independence to come in the future.

Hahaha, feeling like a Sim. What a perfect way to put it! You always have a way with words, Nicole. :'D

College has definitely helped me progress a lot more than when I was in high school, but I still haven't fully left the nest yet. Like I mentioned above, perhaps dorming will be my fulfilling outlet. We'll see.

I'm glad that you're satisfied, though! Figuring out who you are is really great.
