and all they can say is, he's not your kind...i_have_hornsJanuary 18 2007, 15:50:07 UTC
i loved this movie. i remember seeing this my senior year in high school but i honestly can't remember any other movie from around that time to compare it to. i, like you, debated the briefcase with my friends. i don't know that we ever came to a solid agreement as to what was inside. i like to think it was one of those things that was left ambiguous for a reason...left up to the viewer's interpretation. perhaps this film kindled my love for ambiguity in a story. i think it makes things exciting and memorable when used correctly.

I agree with you on ambiguity in stories... I felt it was genius in The Blair Witch Project (never saw the witch cause she was prolly too ugly), and in Wizard of Oz (never saw the witch cause she was prolly too ugly), and the Muppet Babies nanny (never saw the witch cause she was prolly too ugly)... ok so that last one was just a kidding.. but I couldn't resist. There was another movie in which something was left extremely vague and it elludes me right now but I remember thinking it was genius...what was it.. ugghhh.. I just farted cause I was thinking too hard.

{of course in the Wizrd of Oz comment I was refering to the witch the house landed on.. and then inexplicably reacted to as though salt was poured on a slug)
