So it may just be me but every time i go on MySpace all i ever really do is go to other peoples MySpaces and read theirs. I dont know why. I guess i just get so curious that i see what everybody else has to say. A lot of times i even end up on a persons page that i have no clue who they are or how i got there. Is this odd? Should i stop? I just ( Read more... )

It's terribly awkward trying to talk to people on Myspace. Even when they were the ones that add you first! You try to say what's up and they ignore you... barely keep you updated with anything substantial... and so forth. Once in a blue moon it'll help out and aid in forming get togethers. And I do sympathize with the voyeurism. I used to do that with Livejournal. Hop from page to page to page searching for something, ANYTHING that was somewhat entertaining. One of my favorite people I still spy on from time to time is mr_disgruntled. Some of the funniest anecdotes about stupid customers he's gotta deal with. Anyhow, just like everything, it got kinda old page hopping. Maybe that'll happen with you? That is, if you're that concerned about it.

Im not concerned about it at all. I just thought it was kinda weird. I would hate getting bored of it cause then i would have nothing to do when i come to LJ or MySpace.

I freakin' hate Myspace. Just so you know. I don't have much insight to provide there; I'm rarely on the site to begin with. But given the circumstances, I can say with gusto that I don't think what you're doing is weird. Networking is what Myspace is all about! If people didn't want you to see their pages, they'd hide them. Simple as that. So you can take the fact that their page is visible to mean that they're inviting you into their life. And hey, think about this: how does it make you feel when someone you don't know leaves you a thoughtful comment about something on your page? It's a thrill. It's recognition from a mysterious public. If you're at a loss for what to say to your old friends, try complimenting strangers. What's the worst that could happen? They block you. No big deal. You didn't know them anyway, and they shouldn't be so sensitive ( ... )

The girl is amanda gillingham. I was running through the school alumni and i saw a girl names amanda of cheney...and it looked like gillingham so i thought i might drop her a line. but then i went on her profile and was looking around and some parts of her i remember but now its seems she is a totally different person and i figured it would be nice to talk to her again and see whats up.

Oh is it now? Well then, yes, I'm sure she'd be pleased as punch to hear from you again. Look her up! I'll let her tell you about how her life has been going (she told me part of it, although that was many months ago now).
