I'm done

Been a few months again since I updated, since then I've managed to graduate university and get my degree despite thinking I never would. Somehow ended up passing my Japanese exam rather well except for the letter writing part. But then that part is what really cut into my mark in the first place; not because I'm absolutely horrible at my Japanese ( Read more... )

I've never understood the whole stereotyping males and females thing. I have a friend who thinks almost all guys are jerks besides "effeminate men". What the heck are effeminate men? Knowing our society today - men with batty eyelashes? that worry about their weight all the time? I would guess, though, in her opinion, "effeminate men" are guys who are kind and emotional and sensitive. But wouldn't that describe a good chunk of the population of men? At least, just as much as females?

And then, of course, some people don't stereotype but don't bother looking deeper into a person. Just because you think a guy is creepy or whatnot, does not mean that they are perverts and are out to get you. Maybe I'm too much of an idealist, but everyone could be tolerated if you just tried, and everyone deserves to be tolerated.

Congratulations on graduating! Will you be my personal neuropsychaistrist/Japanese translator? :D

I'm guilty of sometimes judging someone too soon. I tolerate a lot of people, but I close myself off to them as I tolerate, which isn't good :/
A few bad eggs messed me up a little, but I've been getting much better now :33 and yeah, I think that not everyone, but *virtually* everyone can be tolerated if you try. I would never say everyone, just because... I've tried with some people and it just won't work xDDDD

Oh snap, I can so agree with a lot of people not understanding that all men and woman should be treated as individuals, instead of grouped together into "Men" and "women" I'll make jokes about men and woman, but the thing is that I always know that there is a HUGE difference between individuals, because, I, Myself, as a girl, act horrendously not like one xD ANd I've known far too many guys to even DARE to think that they all act the same.

And congratulations on graduating!! and fun trips are filled with win and awesome.

Frankly, between Freud and Spike TV, I'm about sick of the debate on how "different" men and women are. We've got some differences biologically, but the spectrum is fluid and impossible to set down into specifics. You might be more sensitive than me, I might be more sexually charged, etc, etc. It's just about nature and nurture. I do have to say that IRL, I find it easier to interact with guys, because of quite a few reasons that if I were to speak of on here would leave me screaming at the computer. Believe me, while I was typing this, I had the urge to Capslock spam how much I hate the attitude I find in a good portion of the teenage girl population around here. Ever heard of the OC? We're the East Coast version of that, the BC. *suppresses urge to scream about how much girls around here tend to be bitches*

I see something a little different in that situation. You know the thing in psychology that says in certain situations, people will only pay attention to, and see or hear the thing that matters most. Like the victim in a bank robbery asked to describe the robber and all she/he can say is, "He had a gun ( ... )
