So I have completed my read through of the 4th edition of dungeons and dragons player's handbook and monster's manual. Don't have the DMG just yet, but I'll get around to that eventually as well. So I figure I might as well write a review because uhhh...I am arrogant enough to think that I am fit to judge wholesale a system hundreds of people put

Thanks for sharing - I've been hearing say their opinions on 4th (mostly that they don't like it) but whenever I ask for more info I get generalizations and sense or just statements without an explanation of WHY people don't like it. So this was really helpful - and more than enough to convince me not to upgrade. :)

Your reading jives alot with what I got skimming the PHB and looking at their comments on various things(talking about builds on various character types and the idea of recharge times on powers just screams MMO to me). Honestly, the alignment thing bugs me more than anything else. I think adding a tenth alignment(unaligned) would have been better than the ridiculous thing they have now.
Personally, I just wish people would try and keep some sense of value to form, an MMO does not need to be a tabletop RPG. A tabletop RPG does not need to be a CCG. A CCG does not need to spawn a movie.
