Another way to state the basic concept is that one who agrees, voluntarily, to suffer (signed up for it & everything,) does so just as much as another who suffers by accident.

I guess that would all depend. Did the one who suffers voluntarily, know what they were getting into. If so, then I would think they would suffer less, but if not, then I would think they would suffer just as much, if not, in some causes, more.
