Clara Finished (well, kinda LOL)
I'll be reposting this on the Fursuit LJ, just wanted to share here too. :D
This was entirely a huuuuuuuuge amazingly pain in the rear learning experience. I started two years ago with the idea that I wanted to make a random fursuit to run around in, and see if I liked it. Well, then I made a toooooon of mistakes, and was never really quite happy. I was going to sell the full suit for about 100 bucks and be done with it, but someone convinced me to fix it up, and try again, and I did. I remade the entire head, hand paws, fixed the worse parts of the body suit, including sewing in the spots, and shorten/lengthen as needed on the arms and all. (I'm a dumb butt and I originally GLUED in the spots, because I ran out of time, and honestly it was for *me* only too at the time, so it didn't matter that much)
I redid the tail quite a bit, making it come off of the chain method and the belt it was built on. The tail itself is extremely long, so for easy washing methods, I added a zipper on the underside to easily take out the foam and weight. :) I've even fixed the mouth a second time around since I messed up the first time. The biggest thing I would like to redo now is the feet, but I'm on the side line about selling it, so I will STOP working on this suit! (I wear a size 6/7 for shoes, I have tiny feet and not a lot of other people do. XD) I just don't know how much I could even sell it for. X___X Oh well, I shall see how life goes. Hopefully, I won't need to!
There are several things that aren't *perfect with this suit, but I'm still rather pleased with it. :) No crits please since I know a good bit of the things wrong, but I do not want to go rebuilding to fix them again this soon. XD
Sorry I don't have any really big pictures, the only thing I have are cellphone photos since my camera kinda died on me. :( I'll try to get some when my friend comes down to hang! Click the thumbnails to see the larger ones though!
Also, random thanks to my slaves friends who helped me with all of this. Could not of done it without them, since it was a lot of hand sewing. (I just learned how to use a machine last week. XP)
