A stupid LJ question

Aug 08, 2003 17:12

Just wondering why so many people have themselves listed as a friend? Is there a reason for this ?

So you both see this:

I added myself to my friends list because my friends/?show=P page is practically the only one I ever view. And when I'm scanning through my friends list, that's the way that I primarily see if there's any comments on my entries.

Also, I do so in order to look things over on my friends page for spelling errors, formatting, and how the icon goes with the post. At least with the style I use, I don't see the icons any other way.

Hm. I do all of my comments via e-mail... and my journal style allows me to view my icons with my posts.

I do it so it shows up on my friends list... an easy way to see how my posts will show up on my friends' friends lists ;)

Stop LJing and get back on icq, woman:)

But I suppose that makes sense in a way..I just figured it looked the same on my page as it does anywhere else..

Yes - this way, my posts show up on my Friend's list and I can use them as bookmarks for where I stopped reading last. :)

I do it so it's in chronological order (as best as LJ allows for) with my friends posts and my own posts. That way I don't have to look at my own LJ, just my friends page. I dunno, just seems easier that way. Plus it allows me to eliminate table errors or weird scroll issues that might arise from run on sentences or long subject lines.
