My disappointment is epic.
I'm sure I'll be writing lots about this over the next few days.
This great civilization traded in their greatness for a life of massive infant mortality, short lives, desperation, deprivation, and limited resources leading to increased conflict.
And by giving up their present they have lost their past, so the future was doomed to repeat itself. So we end up with a world with no memory of horror, that repeats it with great abandon. Genocides, death camps, greed, starvation, murder on a mass scale. Should the descendants of such a great people have to live through hundreds of years of feudalism? Really?
And 149,900 years until the re-invention of toilet paper? Reeeeallly?
Wow.
