I went to see Monsters vs Aliens last night. Cute movie. The audience was a little annoying, because a few people insisted on gasping and shouting every time there was a 3-D effect. Honestly people, have a little maturity while you're watching a kiddy cartoon in dorky plastic glasses

It's likely very little extra expense on top of the CGI; the hardest part is probably making sure to set up the necessary shots.

I hope that if 3D does stick around, it does so like Beowulf 3D, where basically the whole thing was in 3D and there were very few gimmick shots. I'm okay with not waiting until true 3D if it enhances the experience.
