Donna Noble pushed the library’s door open with a slight frustrated groan while holding the towel that was warped around her wet hair with her free hand. Her eyes narrowed as she scanned the room for the Doctor, after all he did have some explaining to do. And right now she would have loved to know what he did with her brand new hair dryer. God help him if he soniced that one too!
When she did finally found him, Donna couldn’t help but to smile softly as she saw the Doctor apparently dozing off on a couch. She approached his temporary ‘bed’ as silently as she could, her feet barely making any noise on the floor. Since her unexpected arrival on the TARDIS barely a month ago, Donna rarely saw the Doctor sleep. He usually woke up when she was near enough but this time he stayed asleep. The ginger goddess looked at him wondering if she should wake him up or let him be.
As she pushed aside a stray lock of her mane that managed to escape its fluffy prison from her face, her eyes fell on his hair. She bit her upper lip, and slowly approached her hand to ruffle his hair. As soon as her fingers touched it, she let out a quiet exclamation of surprise. Honestly, Donna expected his hair to be sticky or solid or something from gel or a fix spray he used to keep his hair as wild as it was, but to her surprise it was very soft, almost downy. She glided her fingers through his locks enjoying the softness that it provided. It was like petting a cat but so much better.
When the Doctor made a noise she withdrew her hand quickly and sat very still. When she saw that the alien didn’t wake up, Donna smiled mischievously. Shrugging to herself, she plunged both of her hands into the amazingly crazy gorgeous soft hair of his. Who cared if he woke up or that the towel that kept her hair together was ready to fall of? She just hoped that she would have the time to think of an excuse when he would wake up.
