I left you feedback over at the IWRY LJ but I had to say again how much I enjoyed this story. Such despair and grief, Buffy's mother and friends dead, and Buffy herself relies on Angel to get her through.
I love how this tale follows canon, and yet is just that wee bit off kilter, giving us an alternate view of what could have happened.
Great character voices, wonderful dialogue and a killer last line.
Changing a small detail of canon (well, I suppose this isn't so small but in the grand scheme of things) and then seeing the ripple effect is a fun thing to do.
Again, glad to hear about the last line. Definitely supposed to be a knife to the heart, from what we know about Angel and perfect happiness.
They are indeed all drabbles. I thought it would be an interesting challenge to write the story in 100-word drabbles. The worst part was being stuck at 101 words and having to choose a word to delete (or rewriting a section).
The fair was one of my favorite parts too. As was writing the development of their relationship.
You may pretend things will be okay. After all, once a story ends, it's free game as to what happens next. Though if I ever get around to writing a sequel...
Well, there's always Ms. Calendar. Buffy could meet her since Jenny would've been sent to Sunnydale to keep an eye on Angel... And she'd feel sorry for Buffy and Angel, translate the gypsy curse (and work out the loophole with the extra time), and cast it.
Thanks again. I had a blast writing this and I've enjoyed reading the other entries, so thank you for the marathon.
Twisting canon is always fun. As for the drabbles, I thought it would be a good challenge to write the story entirely in 100-word drabbles. It was frustrating, but it also made sure I didn't get too wordy (which can be a problem for me).

I liked the twist, changing canon around. And doing this in drabbles was a feat I doubt I'd ever attempt (I'm not that disciplined!). Bravo!
And there's that ending again... Hmm...
