I don't think that those cold fall mornings happen the same way anywhere else in the world.
I've been back to Guelph a couple of times recently, and it's been a really odd experience. I didn't see a single person I knew on campus... but I walked into the UC and it smelled the same. I was reminded of things that I hadn't even known I'd forgotten - like the way the wind tunnels along Winegard between McKinnon and the library.
Anyway, it's not the same without the people. I could have stayed, but I'm glad I didn't...
