On the other whimsical "hopeless romantic" side of me, I do believe strong feelings can emerge early. Take Garden State, for example. Even though it is just a movie, he felt real happiness after four days.
So there's my two-cents whilst being high.

I agree with you, there are cases where people can feel love and happiness that quickly. Trust me, the hopeless romantic inside of me is desperately hoping to find that someday. I guess what I think is crazy is that it seems like so many teenagers feel ready to settle down, or even just settle, when they're still so young. I feel like young adults should experience so much more of the world before they're anywhere near ready for that...

The word "love" should be used sparingly, I think. People throw that word around too much, as with "hate". It is silly to be in a two-week relationship and be all infatuated and not really feel anything, but if a person is truly in love, then I'm not going to knock it.
