Rikku has a question! [voice post]
When the recording starts, there isn't much sound beyond waves hitting against the side of a metal ship, and the faint sound of breathing. But this doesn't go on for very long before Rikku starts to talk.
I was wondering, what do people here think about 'religion'? It's 'cause I was talking to Yunie about it the other day, and we're never, ever going to agree on stuff like that I don't think.
See, we only really have one religion here. There used to be more, but we don't really know anything about them! A thousand years of just the one religion has pretty much gotten rid of anything about the old ones! So now there's juts the Church of Yevon. And either you're a Yevon-worshiper...or you aren't. (I'm not, and Yuna is.)
She can be heard standing up, the sound of her boots echoing as she wanders around the deck of the metal ship.
See, there's this creature here on Spira called 'Sin'. And Sin attacks towns and villages and travelers, and has for almost a thousand years! And Yevon teaches that Sin is a punishment, sent because societies a thousand years ago were so addicted to Machina that they had to be punished. And everyone will keep getting punished until we've 'purified' ourselves of all that stuff.
I don't agree, but I'm an Al Bhed! I was raised to use machina, I love machina, and...it's not bad. So...yeah. But nearly everyone else besides us are Yevon worshipers!
Anyway...what do you guys think? Not about that, I mean, but about religion in general? Or about Spira's, I guess. If you're here! Or...even if you're not!
