>'>[The feed clicks on to show another different room inside the tower clock that is Saguru’s dungeon. The light that comes from one of the large window turns everything a nice shade of orange and illuminates two figures. Hakuba’s shadow is sitting in large a bed barefoot, looking thoughtful and listening to the
music that play in the background, coming from a steampunk looking gramophone, singing with it from time to time too.]
….I hurt myself today, to see if I still feel, I focus on the pain, the only thing that's real, the needle tears a hole, the old familiar sting….
[Saguru’s white shirt is unbuttoned to his navel, which now sports a round silver piece of metal. He just got himself a piercing on his belly button and the ice pick he used is now in his belt. Hakuba is in the bed next, fully clothed, eyes closed like if he’s sleeping or unconscious.]
What have I become? My sweetest friend, everyone I know goes away in the end, beneath the stains of time, the feelings disappear…..[The shadow looks at the boy and then straddles over him to have a better view.]… You are someone else, I am still right here.
You only need me. [Saguru says, his face close to the boy.]…no one else. You do well on your own. [He whispers into Hakuba’s ear before to lean forward a little more and kiss his forehead. His right hand is moving to his belt to grab the ice pick and place the tip over Hakuba’s heart.] If only you could see it…if I could start again, a million miles away, I would keep myself…[Saguru’s hand tightens around the hilt.]… I would find a way!
[He yells between his teeth and pushes the ice pick down in a fast movement. There’s a crack and resistance, where blood and flesh should be. The shadow frowns, sits up and moves his hand away. He opens Hakuba’s jacket and sees the stopwatch Akako gave him some time ago in his inside pocket, glass broken but somehow still working. Saguru blinks, finding himself at a momentary loss, an odd expression to see in a shadow’s face. It’s gone quickly and he narrows his eyes down at the unconscious boy.]
I should have known better. [He lets go of the ice pick and slides his hand up until he touches the collar around his neck.] We always have been a sentimental man.
[The video fades to black as he leans down over Hakuba again.]
