So, shot in the hand with a staple? That's always been one of my biggest fears, lol. Did it hurt like a betch? I bet it did. And you've not had a tetnis (sp?) shot before? I thought that was, like, required at a certain age or something. HEY! They make us take flu shots, but we still get flus. Something there doesn't add up.
For tetanus shots, if you haven't had one in the past... five years, I think?... they want you to get a new one. Ideally on your own every five years, but definitely when you get shot in the hand with a chunk of rusty metal :D
And I was actually reading in the UI newspaper: apparently most of the things people call "the Flu" aren't the actual flu. For example, the stomach bug that's going around up here? Apparently NOT the flu. The flu (that they vaccinate for, at least) is in your nose and sinuses. But even if you get a nose and sinus cold, it's still probably a cold, not the actual "flu." Weird, huh?
I love it when you update like this. It is great to be caught up with you. We don't keep up enough and we should remedy that. If you are ever headed up Bellingham way, let me know. You could stay with me and we'd have fun.

I wonder how much more often people would get sick if we didn't get that nose and sinus flu shot...
