Keep your chin up - you'll be back soon. Some people can't find what they're looking for here. We're those people.
And there is plenty of time to fail. Enjoy the free food while it lasts. That's the reason I'm here.

I saw a travel guide for Nebraska today in Burnett Hall at the U.. it said "Nebraska: Possibilites...endless". Me and my friend Ashley (from St. Louis) both had a good laugh about that =)

Burnett Hall is (unsurprisngly) an academic hall, specifically for psychology.

The U? That's what Mr. Mac and Mr. Focht called it sometimes, it's a nickname of weary affection.

I agree wholeheartedly. However, lucky 'ole me gets to stay here in Nebraska for the next 4-5 years, therefore, I wish you the best of the luck in 'breaking free.'

I just wish I could experience it earlier.

dude, you HAVE the chance. dont settle if you dont truly want to! getting out of nebraska was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. making new friends, being in new environments, learning foreign ideas, being your own TRUE person, not who everyone expects you to be, was an invaluable lesson. and if you think that eludes you at UNL, then by GOD apply somewhere else, even for the piece of mind of knowing that you COULD have gone elsewhere.

tyler, you rawk.

officially.

I seem to be crapping all over your journal, but I should point out that UNL isn't necessarily a recipe for unhappiness, I mean, I'm still very happy there, have grown a lot, and have met new people. I can appreciate that certain people, like you Tyson, are happier elsewhere.. but there's no way of knowing how happy you would have been had you gone UNL (no control group, if you will). It's important to note that Lincoln is a completely different environment during the school year, especially if you live on-campus, and that a lot of the summer suckiness goes away once the year kicks off.
