Guess what guys?? I'm engaged!!!
I went to LOVE park today in Philly with Julian and our friends Donna and Rob because Donna wanted to take pics in front of the LOVE statue and then go to lunch together. We got there and it was cold and a little crowded, and we waited to take a pic, and then when it was our turn, Julian got down on one knee and pulled out a ring and proposed, and I said, "Valentine's day? You big cheeseball!"
and then I laughed and said "yes." It was the cheesiest place on the cheesiest day of the year, but y'know what? It was perfect and it was so very Julian.
He did a good job with the ring, too. I'm so not a jewelry person, so the simple, square-cut diamond solitaire is perfect, and unobtrusive enough not to drive me crazy. Plus, it's soooo shiny......
