I need your advice. My mom has a friend who knows this guy that works in her company. He is twenty five. Jane (my mom's friend), says that he sings and plays gitar and drums for the Baptist Student Union at North Georgia college. Jane told him about me and now he wants to meet me. I don't know how confortable I am with that. What do you think?

Now, you know me and how I've always been one to love older men, so what I think may not come as quite a shock. But I say at least meet him. He may end up being the man of your dreams, he may end up being a good friend, or maybe there will be nothing at all. But if you go meet him, there's nothing lost. If you don't, you'll never know what this man could have added to you life, or been able to help you learn. I fully believe that God gives us the opportunities to meet people that could be really wonderful for us, but at some point free will takes over. You have an opportunity, so why not seize it?!

I agree. I think you should meet the guy. If nothing comes out of it at least you know instead being plagued with the dreaded "what if".

oh honey.. that's only five years. you're forgetting you're no longer a teenager, my dear. it sounds like you guys have something in common, so it won't be completely awkward. go for it. the only thing you have to lose is an evening.

If you're interested but he seems a little old...use the internet to your advantage! See if he has a facebook account or a myspace or even just an email...if he only has an email, you can find a reason to ask him something and talk to him first before you meet him face to face so that you can get a little bit better of an idea what his personality is like without hurting his feelings if you're not interested.

do it!

I say atleast meet him. 5 years really isn't that much anymore. You're a 20-something now! Like someone said, if it sucks all you're going to lose is an evening, but he might be nice and you might hit it off!

I say do it :)
