my mom would let us watch melrose every week, ever since i was in elementary school.

and yet, when my sister was in middle school and wanted to watch buffy and dawson's creek, my mom told her that the former had too much violence and the latter had too much sexual innuendo... but we were still allowed to watch melrose! wtf?
