that was disturbingly well crafted and all too easy to have been non-AU, quite frankly. what a fantastic way you took the details
of season 1 and wove them into this stunner of a story. it was raw and a little uncomfortable -- in a good way! -- and just marvelous.

haha, why thank you very much! I love writing dark!fic as much as reading it and when I do get the chance to read fic, I love that this fandom seems to have an abundance of it. Thanks for the author tag, I'll have to write some more.

You amaze me again! I like this even more than your previous Lucas/Skye oneshot. It's great to see someone tackle Skye in a darker manner. I like how you united them in their revenge, how you managed to justify Skye's behavior and rationalize it so well. And of course the pairing was beyond hot in the glimpses you showed us.

That ending really got to me. It's my favourite scene: the way they unite together and take him down. Flawless. Just flawless.

See, I had the same feeling, that something darker was going on there in the beginning. I'm not displeased that they went family friendly, I enjoyed what they did. But I probably would've enjoyed it more as a darker, more teen/adult series.

That said... I loved this fic. I loved the look at Skye down the rabbit hole, what she could've been like if they'd taken this path, and something more sinister had happened to her father. I love her twisted relationship with Lucas. I love that Boylan's on the "good" side.

The short snapshot format works well with this (nothing worse than a fic that basically retells the series... in detail...).

I hope you write more for this pairing, you do it well!
