[1] Start making the little shits put it in writing or they don't get the time off. Sign and date it, first asked first gets, exceptions for emergencies (REAL ones, like medical) and funerals. Period.
[2] The job market is such out there that if they keep it up, I am sure you can hire new people who do not presume to speak to their supervisor in such a manner. And do realize, they do that because you allow it. If you shift, some of their bullshit will stop. Try it.
