I LOVE Making Fiends. I discovered it around the time she'd done maybe 2 or 3 episodes, and found myself checking ALL THE TIME to see when the next episode would come out.

That was around the same time I discovered Strindberg and Helium. Since you're an old theater person, you might appreciate the humor. :) We discovered it right when we were studying Strindberg in grad school, and reading the journals that this stuff is based on. That man was bat shit crazy, let me tell you what. And into alchemy, which might interest your chemistry side.

Oh, Strindberg and Helium are definitely up there for me too. I think we also found it at aronud the same time as Making Fiends. For a long time we would periodically pop up with a high pitched, "I'm dead, too" in casual conversation.

Yup, that became practically our mantra through the remainder of the masters program. It was very apropos most of the time. :)

"Ooo, hot tonight. Strindberg's hot tonight!"
