Last week I had a bit of an epiphany about Garrison Keillor and one reason I will always like him so much. I was listening to The Writer's Almanac on KUHF in the morning on the way in to work, and I realized that I always look forward to that. Thanks for a very positive post, amigo.

I too love the PHC for a lot of fond-memory-association reasons. Plus, the Voice of Keillor is very much the soothing. I'm sure we probably all experience a measurable drop in blood pressure while listening.

I'm particularly fond of the "Lives of the Cowboys" segment.

Thanks for sharing that. I was around a little later than that in your Midland experience, but I remember the fondness the two of you had for each other back then - and no douubt still do now. It makes me smile to remember glof, "picking strawberries for everyone," and the occasional wenis stomping.

Hope to get there someday.
