“Thanks to the Joker, I’m used goods. Oh, woe is me. Now Bruce shall call off our marriage, and shame me before Mama and the town.”
I love all your characters for being able to laugh at themselves. Clark cracked me up there, knowing he's blowing things out of proportion, and not fully knowing what is wrong with him.
"You know, you don't really laugh a lot,” Clark said.
“Nope. Not me.” Bruce was not in the mood to talk and had fallen into his default mode of utter compliance.I really liked this discussion! it makes sense in my head, that Bruce will just.. lie like a rug there, and agree with things and try to retreat, especially if he's angry too at Clark for not trusting that he's more of a man than a ( ... )

Clark cracked me up there, knowing he's blowing things out of proportion, and not fully knowing what is wrong with him.Clark is just that to me. He is very self-un-aware. I sort of love characters like that. He struggles with negative and upsetting emotions and is never quite sure why he feels isolated, insecure and awkward, when he doesn't have these qualities. He doesn't realize that these are what make him human, not an ease of going through life. Intelligent, Brave, Compassionate, but no clue ( ... )

He is never able to express his feelings for the Batman, because he can't deal with them. They aren't even bad, he just can't deal with them. I think that in some universes Joker and Batman would make a wonderful couple... Where in the hell is that Elseworlds!
I do prefer the awkward and intense passion and bond of Clark and Bruce though. They constantly frustrate and test each other, because being with them tests the boundaries of their self. They can't help but grow when they are loved and cultivated properly. I may be a cynic at heart but I don't think they could be happy forever. Their relationship is based on a tension of betterment.

The second one has Bruce turning into the Joker in it, stress makes my brain go crazy.

I wanted to something manly and mean and raw, between these two. Something that really helps them grow into more awesome people.... and that is hard when you are writing for such Icons so they had to be meaner.
