My right tonsil is literally three times the size of my left one, and there's a lot more pus this time around than there was last time. I have to figure out what's going on. If you're sick you should be able to get treatment, no matter how much or little money you have. This is the 21st century not the Dark Ages, and America is supposedly the richest nation on Earth. Something is wrong somewhere.

Ack, that's harsh. :( Steve's right - it's awful that you have to pay so much for treatment there. Is there any way you can sign on with some kind of medical insurance and get the operation through them?

The only thing I had a chance of getting on was the Oregon Health Plan, but they stopped accepting applications two to three months ago. Surprise, surprise. The only way I can get insurance is through a job, which is why I want to work where my uncle does.

I just found out that I can't go to a regular doctor, either. It's the hospital for me, which is good in a way because they're more likely to find out what's wrong so they can fix the problem, but it's also going to be way more expensive. After this... I'm going to be in debt something like $2,600. No idea what the fuck I'm going to do.
