Dropped my video camera today. Screen's busted and the record button doesn't seem to do anything. Not sure what else might be wrong; possibly a lot.

It's a Panasonic DVX 100B SD camera.

Anyone know any good repair places? Should I just take it to B&H?

Any advice is welcome.

Is it still under warranty?

No, I don't think so. I bought it way more than a year ago... Plus, I'm not so sure, but it might have been grey-market. I bought it used from B&H; it had no use on the heads at all, making me think that someone bought it and then immediately returned it to buy an HD camera or something.

EXCEPT... all the documentation -- not including the manual -- are in Japanese. So I wonder if it was meant for overseas sales and somehow ended up here.

Anyway, the warranty would have expired by now regardless.

I'm prepared for this to cost me a body part or two...

That sucks! Get insurance on the next one! My old video camera is covered under our homeowner's insurance, but we didn't inventory things this time and I don't think it'll be covered.

B+H is your best bet. That "video hospital" near us is horrible.
