Woke up to the sound of our neighbor shouting "Fire!"
The house just one house across from ours just burned down.
View from my parents' bedroom window. At first, it seemed like it was the house right next to ours that was burning. Fire brigade wasn't there yet, at this point. We are so lucky there was almost no wind.
After most of the roof had been put out; this is the view out our attic window. That's a huge fucking smoke pillar.
As far as I could tell, no other houses suffered damage, but I know neither what caused the fire nor if there were any people hurt. Basically I just flailed about and panicked. Thank god Markus kept us mostly calm.
This is one fucking bad way to start a day. If I did drink, which I don't, I'd get pissfaced drunk right about now.
