There's a fish with an icon in WoW that's as close as they could make it to Magicarp without getting sued, I think.

look on the bright side, you can learn tackle at level 15....and then you might be able to beat, i dont know, some horribly lower level bug.

Also, my little brother saw me reading this post, apparently there is an episode on tv where a squirtle uses splash and it actually does something.
