Last year tesco had a big box full of everything you needed for the kitchen. I'm not sure how much it was but it might be worth looking to see if they are doing the same this year, I think it was in the "seasonal" isle.

Good luck with getting everything sorted.

Kafka is great. I have the read The Castle (in translation) and I'm slowly working my way through one of his short stories in the original german. I liked the way in the Castle how the feel of the novel and the situation is built up throughout, so that hardly any one thing is particularly bad but the entire set of events seems overwhelming and oppressive.

OOOOO I know what you mean!! =D it's really well done and i haven't read that one yet
Done Die Verwandlung (the transformation)and on Das Process (the trial) and also some of his shorter stories, The Penal Colony, really intrestingly written and it makes you think a bit
Glad to hear your appreciating it in the original language as it makes a difference!
