There was, indeed, much rejoicing up this way...at least, in my house! By the way, sweet choice of tunes! I love me some Beck!

Yeah, I need to clarify here....I am, as most of you know, a conservative(moderately). I voted for Bush twice (don't flame me---I don't complain about any of you), but I have severe problems with certain MEMBERS of his administration. My problem with Rumsfeld was that he refused to answer a Senate committee's questions. Hello? I thought you HAD to do that or be held in contempt of Congress. He completely spit on the idea of checks and balances, and I don't think someone like that needs to have control of the FREAKIN' MILITARY. Oh yeah, also, if all branches of the service are bitching about how you run things, then maybe it's time for a fresh start with another guy.

no flames, just what were you thinking about (I'm not being sarcastic, please respond)
My first reaction though, was "Are they trying to severe ties now, so that when these possible hearings and committees start up, they can hope to avoid something?" but thats too cynical. Time for the Dems to do what they promised, Obviously Iraq is going to be awhile , but I cant wait to see if they crack down on the Drug companies, and Raise Minimum wage. LEts hope.

Well, I voted for him the first time because I thought Gore was a little too bland to be an effective president. And remember, we didn't know at the time that the whole terrorist/Iraq stuff was going to happen. Truthfully, I wasn't that impressed with Bush's first term, but the reason I voted for him the second time was because I despise Kerry. His voting record and his statements don't match up at all. We don't need a guy like that in office.
In retrospect, I was much more likely to vote against Bush in the first election. I didn't like Gore, but I was (and am) sort of fond of Lieberman. The first election is where I'd pin a mistake if I had to. I don't feel bad at all for voting against Kerry in the second election.

One point I'd like to make about Bush: Love him, hate him, or whatever, he does what he says he will. You don't have to second-guess the guy. Better the devil you know, right? ;)
