Heee!

So, during the last few weeks I've been busy with reading (mostly), watching movies on DVD (and extras!!), and even going out once or twice (to see PotC2, or to meet estepheia today which was, as usual, great fun, at least for me ;-)). And with transferring lots and lots of old tapes to DVD. I've found so many tapes that had been stashed away somewhere, ( Read more... )

Oh my god! You have Stingray!!! Okay, whatever you want, I'll give it if you could find a way to make me a copy! I absoltely idolized that man and that show! lol. It's true - my first Nick!love wasn't for Nick Lea. Imagine my heartbreak when my VCR became possessed and taped over all my favorites when I was vacationing in Florida. I *still* haven't gotten over that. :( What's truly frightening is that I still remember the episodes names. 'Abnormal Psyche' was probably my favorite of all, but I also loved 'Orange Blossom', 'Ether', um... damn. I can't believe I've actually forgotten the rest. This'll probably haunt my dreams now. And lord help me, but I never expected to find anyone else who remembered that show. I think I even have the theme music on an mp3 somewhere. I loved that show from the start, but it turned into a true obsession when they became the first major TV show to film here. I think 21 Jumpstreet happened at about the same time, so those were always somehow *my* shows ( ... )

Orange Blossom!!!!!!
Oh my, I LOVED that episode - and believe it or not, I can still sing the song Mike Post wrote for that episode.

Best lines:
"Now they lay me down to sleep,
they're watching every move I make,
I wonder what they think they see,
please say a prayer for me
If I die before I wake..."

I tried for years to get a recording of that song - without success. Which episode is 'Abnormal Psyche'?
I'm not sure I've seen all epis, although I certainly tried to catch them all...

I LOOOOVED Stingray. Before I even knew there was a thing like fanfic, I was writing amnesia!Ray fanfics in my head.

I'd give my right arm to own the show on DVD. Are they actually out on DVD? *wibbble*
(Sorry to barge in like that, but it's great to find like minded people)

And yeah, Black Robe was good. I also like Broken Chain - since I have a thing for movies about American Natives.

@ drc1
I had a blast yesterday. We have to do that again. Next time I'm in Berlin... Definitely. :-)

Khumbarumba!

See, this is where it really gets silly - I know I loved Abnormal Psyche, but other than a few flashes of images, I can't really remember it! The episode guide here: http://www.epguides.com/Stingray%5Fus/guide.shtml didn't help much, either. :( According to that site there were only 23 episodes, but I also remember it running over the course of two years. Must have been short seasons, or something.

The songs! Wasn't there a new one for every episode? I still remember a line or two from a few of them.

I was so totally obsessed with Ray. He was my imaginary friend when I was in my twenties. *nods seriously* LOL!

Unfortunately these have never been released on DVD, but according to a post at the imdb.com message boards, people have converted it and you can buy it on ebay. I think I may have to go look for a download...

Heh, no problem. Nice to meet you ( ... )

23 episodes, hmm, I'm pretty sure, from the episode descriptions you linked to, that I haven't seen the entire show. I think I may even have missed the pilot. Hmm. I saw most of S2.
Well, I will keep my eyes open, maybe it's possible to get the show via emule. Haven't thought about the show in a long while, but now I'm suddenly keen again... :-)
