I've thought about this before, when it's come to politics and some of my friends have said that BNP is the way to go, and I've argued them into a corner seeing that they're talking out their arses. and yet I sit there and say nothing when they use language and make statements that really offend me. And then I get really annoyed at myself for having done nothing.

While I won't be picking fights with the tattooed guy outside the pub, i do intend strongly to speak up where I can, and just go, that offends me. etc.

good point. for someone who's supposedly 'outspoken' i sit on my tongue a little too often. i think it's for fear of being backed into an argument i don't have the know-how to back up my views to get out of if you get me. i'm paranoid i know a little about a lot but not enough to see me through one thing.
