Okay. I'm torn about a few pregnancy issues and could use your guy's input. My doctor told me that Everything is OK in moderation. Half a glass of white wine won't kill or maim the baby in any way. FAS/FAE occurs when you drink ALOT during your pregnancy. I know you haven't had a drink at all since you found out about Bebe, so I'm sure s/he won't be affected. So I say have your little indulgence. :)

Although I have never been pregnant, *phew*, I think everything in moderation is the way to be. I've heard the same thing from my parents' cancer doctors. I have talked to my mom and she had aspartme and coffee during her pregnancy with me and I was just a HUGE baby. Doctors know more than the average person. I trust them over public opinion.

I don't mean to add to your stress or confusion, but if it helps in any way, I think only Canadian & American doctors hold that opinion. My old landlady is British-Canadian and was in the UK during the majority of her pregnancy. Her doctor told her everything in moderation and she definitely enjoyed a Guinness in my presence!
