Wow, that looks really good! I didn't know you could make dye out of stuff like that. How expensive was it? Where can you get henna? How do you control what color you'll get?

I had everything but the henna on hand. It cost 1.50/100g and we each took 200g. I found henna in a large grocery store.
You can't really control how the color's going to turn out but you can do things to make it more red or brown.

How long does the color last?

I've read different things. I've mostly read that it's permanent although over the next few days the colour will probably change. I'll probably do it again in a month unless it fades super fast.

I remember one time I henna'd a friends hair, I had been doing it to mine for years to bring out the red, but their hair came out green. Word to the wise, if your hair does not have natural red or blonde highlights, DO NOT USE HENNA. If however it does have said highlights, you'll never get a more natural, healthy looking highlighting method.

lol i had blonde highlights.
it depends on the person and the mix. it wont go green or mess up for everyone. it's just not smart to do freshly after chemical dying.
