Diary: January 2010

Dear Diary,
I've just realized that i have titled my journal "My Very Own Muse: An Introspective Diary" and yet i have hardly any introspect and no diary whatsoever :O As such, I've decided that every month I will mull over the events of the month and record them here. I've never kept a diary before; this will be interesting.

This month in review:
  • New Years!!! My resolution??? To keep my skin clear and to keep at my current weight, at least until my birthday in March. I'm going on a cruise with my closest family and friends. I need to look tip top in my yellow polka dot bikini ;) After my birthday, I guarantee nothing.
  • Had to make course selections for next year. Why, Oh! why do we have to make them so early? Even the teachers admitted that they don't know enough about us to give their recommendations.
  • Made DNA necklaces in Biology! It was really awesome, but apparently, my DNA is very thick and hard to suck up into a pipette. It took several attempts. It looks like snot, or sperm.....
  • Got an 86% on my Bio test. Praise God!
  • Daddy's Birthday!!!
  • Handed in my super late The Crucible  essay. It was due in November. I warned you about my procrastination.
  • Cursed the endless stupidity which characterizes my English class. "Oh yes! Let us spew out exactly what the teacher has just finished saying except we will switch around and replace a few words to make it sound clever and original." Pardon my French, but these dumb fucks not only cause you to loose brain cells, but they incinerate them. Your brain cells don't WANT to regenerate after that, they practice self-preservation.
  •  Friend requested my super, super, super old friends on Facebook. I mean, we're talking pre-school. Good times. fell off the gym mats playing house with Pat and Allison, stepped on a piece of glass in the sprinkler/fountain and had t get stitches, got hit in the head TWICE ON TWO DIFFERENT VERY DELIBERATE OCCASIONS by Ross. Its amazing how you can just start up where you left off. We're having conversations and sharing inside jokes as if we haven't missed a beat <3 Soooo excited to get together with them in February.
  • Replaced my old Livejournal with a brand-spanking new one.
  • Rediscovered bacon!!! 'Nuff said.
  • Changed my Journal theme from winter to spring in honor of Groundhog Day. Crossing my fingers for an early spring even though I may die from my allergies. Speaking of which....
  • I'm switching from weekly shots (not literally painful, I've been getting them for Years, but a pain in the ass to drag myself out of the house every week) to monthly shots. Yay!! We're hoping that my year-round allergies will be gone by the time I finish school so that when I leave home, I can lead a unhindered life in terms of my nose and eyes.
