Does anyone know what this type of goggles is called? And if so, where can I find me a pair?

Yeah, I think aviator goggles. You could possibly also look for 'steampunk goggles' or 'industrial goggles'. You might find something :)

Welding goggles.

I was trying to get the husband to dress up as post-defeating-Cap'n-Hammer Dr. Horrible, but we gave up on finding or making a red surgeon's gown.

You can likely find a pair to borrow at a machine shop. I know RPI's got a machine shop, but I don't know if they have the right type of goggles. I know they have the full face shields, which are not what you want. They also have stupid clear safety glasses, which are also incorrect.
