Guys might want to avoid this one.

But, uh, really. Does PMS get worse with age? And on a steadily increasing month-by-month basis at that? Because I swear it feels like I've just gotten progressively harsher symptoms over the past four or five months. The cramps are worse and last longer, I'm getting headaches now (which I never used to get, or at least not from PMS alone), but mostly I'm kind of startled by my mood swings. I've been getting really touchy and grumpy. I go off at little things (see last night's harry potter rant) and then perpetuate it (see the replies to last night's harry potter rant) just for the sake of arguing. I've never been one of those "AAGH HULK SMASH!" type girls during PMS, but recently I've turned into that. It used to be that I'd have one day where I was a little cranky, and then I'd be fine. Then it became one day of crankiness and one day of weepiness. And now it's turned into several days of flat out bitchery with bouts of weepiness just for fun.

I can't stand myself like this. I'm not a mean person, despite what everyone else seems to believe. I hate getting mad, and even worse than that, I hate getting mad and staying that way. Is this normal? Is there something I can do about this besides locking myself in my room until it passes?

Good God, but I hate being a girl.
