Considering Rucka's experience with Bat titles, I don't think you have anything to worry about. He's always managed to keep the feel of bat titles without relying too much on convoluted DC continuity. ;)

'sides, if there's any bat-book out there that's perfect for Rucka, it's definitely Detective!
