((Sorry for disappearing on everyone last night. I managed to kill my laptop's Internet connection by trying to upload a file.

( A question for helpful types who may know more about computers than I do. Which would not be difficult. )

((What antivirals and spyware programs do you have on there? You could try running AdAware or another spam filter thingy... also, check your wires, and make sure none of the plugs have jiggled loose (our DSL line likes to sit funny in the router and kill my connection here).))

The wires have been checked and re-checked. A couple of kind people have already tried to help. The general consensus is: It's weird.

((I really do appreciate it. I wish I could offer some helpful words on how to fix the problem. Do you think it could be the internal modem/airport card or something similar? Or do those work elsewhere and it's just the home connection giving you trouble?))
