It's raining. She doesn't remember it raining in the Nexus before, ever. Aya steps outside and notices it's only raining over her house. Perfect

Aya arrives with a speed surprising even for someone with access to Nexus technology. He knocks on the door.

"Big brother, if you're knocking at my door rather than just coming inside like you should, I'm going to be very mad at you," she calls out.

He grumbles. He opens the door, nervously smoothly down his clothes as he enters.

He nods in greeting to the assemble company and moves to sit near (and hug) his sister.

Ginta nods back.

"Glad you could make it, Fujimiya-san." He looks over at Sanzo. "That's everyone we need, right?"

[some_priest]

The ritual is over. Aya-chan's going to be fine... And Sanzo did what he came to do. As soon as Aya's brother goes to take her to her room, he's already heading out the door and back into the garden.

At least it's not raining anymore.

Aya sees Sanzo leave. He would let the monk go, as that's clearly what he wants to do, but he promised his sister.

He rushes to catch up with the monk.

"Thank you," he doesn't sound at all winded. He does sound as if he feels slight awkward. "She wanted me to thank you."

Sanzo pauses. "I already told her that she doesn't need to thank me."

“That generally does little to discourage her.” Any humor in Aya's voice is completely imaginary.

Aya himself will forgo the thanks. “I owe you a debt.”
