high school stuff

I've been away from school for awhile. Today was my first day back. My art teacher, Mr. Miki, asked me to stay after class. I felt sure I was in trouble. He told me that he would give me as much time as needed to make up the work. My other teachers told me they would work with me too ( Read more... )

It can be hard to re-adjust to a situation after you've been away for a while, especially when people act more kindly than you expect.

"I know." She runs her fingers through her hair distractedly. "I just have to learn to be patient about getting used to it again.

"It is weird that people being nicer than I expected bothered me."

She smiles. "I haven't seen you in a long time. How are you and your sister?"

Do you know why it bothered you?

We're...fine. ::Kou's usually a better liar, but his nerves are still rather frayed.:: How have you been?

She doesn't deserve people being nice to her. "Not really."

"Oh." That 'fine' makes her reach out to try to hug Kou. Admittedly, it was probably bound to happen eventually.

"Bad stuff happened, then worse stuff happened, then it got better," she summarizes.

"Do you want to talk about things being 'fine'?"

((Sorry for the delay. I lost my Internet connection.))

That's just proof that there are more people than us who really do care about you. But I don't really get why that'd make you angry...?

She shakes her head and smiles apologetically.

"I don't understand why it made me angry either."

Hug time now?

"How are you, sis, I've missed you."

Aw, always time for hugs.

"I've been good. Been thinking of trying out some new stuff in my life lately, but other than that, not much has changed. How about you?"

Still clinging, Aya tries to pitch them both backward on to a convenient Nexus couch. Sitting down facilitates cuddling.

"I don't have powers anymore," she answers in a tone that most people would use to comment that the weather has been pleasantly sunny.

"But I'm sick of my stuff. I want to hear about your new stuff."

((Sorry for the delay. My Internet connection randomly died.))

"You never make sense anyway, why start now?"

Ignore the cheerful Growlithe puppy trotting along at Yukio's heels. REALLY. He means that. The mun, on the other hand, invites you to go ahead and bring up the subject.

"I love you too, Yukio."

Aya drops to her knees in front of the puppy. She reaches out to pet him.

"There are a lot of these Pokemon pets going around."

She smiles cheerfully at the Growlithe. "None as cute as you though!"

Yukio will ignore that statement of affection as is his wont. Though of course his lack of denial is generally quite enough for her.

"Pokemon? Is that what it is? Seems like a weird-looking dog," Yukio grumbles, scowling down at the puppy as he barks happily, tail wagging in delight. Pettings!

Yukio NEEDS a cigarette now. He also needs the damn puppy to stop following him everywhere, but he's not having much luck with that.

"He's a perfectly cute looking dog." She doesn't bother looking up from petting the Growlithe.

"In the universe they come from, people enslave them in little red balls and make them fight."

How have you been, Aya? Have you been doing well enough with... everything, to manage going back to school on top of it all? *X was also somewhat worried if she'd be safe returning to school. Considering that, last he'd heard, the Green Dragon Group wanted the demon - and her - for some purpose, they might be staking out places she frequented.*

"Everything is fine, X. Everything." In a pop culture reference X is likely to miss, she reaches up to wiggle her nose like Tabitha on Bewitched. "No powers anymore." She smiles with a confidence she is no where close to feeling yet.

"And no one is looking for me either." She found out about the GDG being taken down by watching the news. Apparently, Schwarz had wanted to make a statement. The hard-boiled reporter on the scene of the 'incident' threw up on live television.

She can see he worried, so she reaches out her hand for his. "It's kind of you to worry, but you don't need to, really.

"How are you?"

*X does, indeed, completely miss the reference* Really? I'm so glad you're okay, Aya. *he was more worried about the eventual effects of having the powers than the fact she had them. Regardless, he was still very relieved she'd gotten rid of the demon. He's tempted to hug her, but instead accepts her hand and gives a light squeeze*

They aren't? But what about that group...?

*X shook his head slightly* I worry about everyone I care about when they're in trouble, Aya. It's not something I can really stop doing.

*Then X gave her a smile* Better, now that I know you're okay.

"The bad guys met made enemies of some badder guys. They're gone."

She should be happy about that but she can't. She framed the GDG by planting false memories in the duplicate of the person she killed. The duplicate and his team killed GDG. She murdered again, and used her world's Schwarz as a weapon.

"Then I'll just have to not get into trouble."

She smiles and tries to give him a hug. "You're very sweet."

*The positional leap between meta-space and real-space wasn't a hard one for Mewtwo, so here he is.*

Perhaps your anger stems from an upset of what you perceived as the order of your relationships in the world. How are you adjusting otherwise?

She smiles a small smile.

"Perhaps that's it.

"And otherwise, I'm fine. What about you, Mew?"

I am well, things have been rather quiet for me recently. I find it a welcome respite.
