Once at the Kitten, Koyasu and Aya-nii excused themselves to a separate room. The soft murmur of their voices could be heard outside. They were there for a long time

Koyasu thanked Ginta. The door closed behind them with a soft thud. Koyasu gestured for a chair indicating that Ginta should sit. Koyasu seated himself opposite the empty chair. And said nothing. Given silence, would Ginta feel compelled to fill it?
Ginta sat as indicated, then waited for Koyasu to start. And waited. ...And waited.
It occurred to him that he had possibly missed a cue, so he tried to pick up the thread of conversation as smoothly as possible.
"So... I see you and Aya-" what honorific to should have used to indicate that he was talking about Aya-nii? How much did Koyasu know about the name thing? Oh well, might as well use the honorific he that he usually did. "-Aya-san had a long talk."
Koyasu nodded. He seemed to understand about the names, as it were something he and Aya-nii had discussed.
"We had much to say. As much as my daughter's behavior troubles me. I am grateful for the chance to see my children again. And to meet the people who are important in their lives now. Would you tell me something about yourself, son?"
...That glasses trick was really more disturbing in person. He'd seen Brad Crawford and Sakurazuka Seishirou both do it in visions, but it didn't induce the same creeping shiver.
"Of course, Fujimiya-san," Kakyou murmured, bowing his head as he moved forward to join the older man.
Koyasu quietly studied Kakyou. The young man made Koyasu curious. It wasn't just ... his relationship with Ran. The earnestness and immediacy that Kakyou proclaimed his devotion to Koyasu's children intrigued and amused Koyasu. He had wanted to laugh at Kakyou's seriousness, but sensed that young man might take it the wrong way. He closed the door, allowing them some privacy.
Koyasu sat on the sofa. There was an empty chair opposite him. Koyasu gave no indication as to whether Kakyou should sit next to him or take the chair opposite the sofa.
Koyasu's voice was low and soft, as always. "Are you alright, son?"
Kakyou settled on the sofa beside Koyasu without thought. This was the Kitten. This was home, and sharing a sofa with someone else here was almost habitual. His hands tucked his kimono about him neatly.
He glanced up curiously at the question, then tilted his head slightly again, letting his hair screen his cat-slit eyes in a subtle gesture. Koyasu wouldn't be accustomed to such things. "I'm fine, sir. Why do you ask?"
"I ask because after what has happened today, I would be easy to understand if you were not fine," Koyasu answered. He was good at studying people without it making appear he was doing so, which is what he did with Kakyou now.

He stepped forward, nodding to Koyasu as he stepped inside.
