That card thing, what a glitch, though! I'd have been (easily) amused as well, inevitably. Hmm. Maybe this is why so many French people still pay by writing out cheques.

It's funny, I'Ve never written a cheque in my life. I don't even have a cheque book. I know my Mum has one, or at least used to have one, but I have seen her use it no more than once or twice.
Mostly, we just transfer the money.
