Yea man, it's kind of a pain in the ass, so lemme know if it doesn't make sense when I explain it. You have to get the pictures you want on here onto a site, like probably one of those online photo albums. Just make sure the site allows remote loading (livejournal to access the picture pretty much.)
When you have the image online, copy the URL for it, and use this html tag in your livejournal entry:

[fromthemountain]

I just realized that html tag didn't show up, because it's an html tag... I'm an idiot... Just IM me sometime for the tag to insert.
